No, we aren’t set up like that. If you do follow someone you can immediately start seeing their posts under ‘STREAM’ > ’Following’.
Nope. You can have an unlimited number of followers and you can follow as many MR members as your heart desires. How fun is that? So fun!
MR is here for you to share your modeling journey and experiences with others in the modeling community as well as fans that follow you. Your modeling journey will usually involve professional photos as well as non-professional (selfies/BTS/SOOC) photos. Professional nude and artistic nude photos are also allowed. All mature images must be marked as ‘18+’ when going through the uploading process. And if you aren’t exactly sure, then just mark the image as ‘18+’ anyway!
Please remember to always mark your nude images as ‘18+’ when uploading. You’ll find the ‘18+’ box that you’ll check under the ‘+ DETAILS’ area. ANY form of nudity or see-through type images should ALWAYS be marked as ‘18+’. No porn allowed.
No, NO LIMIT! Yay! Enjoy unlimited photo uploads with either our free or premium membership. Uploading multiple photos at once is also a feature available to everyone.
No. Models and photographers should have at least 4 professional images uploaded when creating an account. Any less and their profile may be converted to a ‘Fan’ account. In addition to professional images we encourage talent to upload non-professional photos such as: selfies, candids, behind-the-scene shots, photos of your pets, social photos or whatever type of photos you feel you would want to share with either your fans or modeling industry peers/friends that follow you.
‘Avatar’ recommended dimensions: 500 x 500
‘Cover Photo’ recommended dimensions: 1440 x 450
REMINDER: No nudity allowed w/ the ‘Cover Photo’ & ‘Avatar’ photo
In the upper right area of your screen, look for a white positive (‘+’ ) symbol in a red circle. Click that ‘+’ symbol to upload your photo(s) or post a status. You can upload photos or post a status from virtually anywhere on the site to make your uploading experience faster and smoother for you.
A step-by-step instructional video for uploading a photo or posting a status is here
You can upload photos to your MR profile from your mobile device or computer drive, from these various third-party sites/apps, which is badass:
If your account type is:
The ‘STREAM’ area is a place for discovery and is very fancy! It is made up of two parts – ‘Discover’ & ‘Following’. Go to the ‘Discover’ part of the ‘STREAM’ to find new photos posted and users you haven’t engaged with before. Go to the ‘Following’ part of the ‘STREAM’ to see what those you are currently following are up to and posting.
The ‘STREAM’ video tutorial is here
Yes, you can. Below every image there is a right-facing arrow. Click that and you’ll see an option to add that specific image to a list. Lists are great tools for saving your favorite photos on the site so you can review them later.
Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram are the social media accounts you can link to your MR profile in the ‘Edit Profile & Settings’ area. After linking your accounts your future MR logins can be accomplished via one-click with your Facebook, Twitter or Instagram account.
With your Instagram and Twitter account linked to your MR profile your Instagram posts and Twitter posts will show up on your MR profile under the ‘Activity’ area. This makes it easy for your fans to see your Twitter & Instagrams posts all in one place – on your MR profile.
You can also share your photos (yours or other MR members) to: Facebook, Twitter or Pinterest.
Your address is kept private and cannot be seen by any user on the site. What can be seen on your profile is your city/state/country because that is general info we show for all MR members. Other personal information, like your DOB, is also kept private and not shown to anyone.
Sites like ours simply work better with an address entered. We aren’t going to mail you anything or sell your address to a third-party company. An address entered lets site users see what city and state your in which is pertinent info, especially if they may want to work with you. Also, when searching under ‘FIND TALENT’ an entered address allows this area to function properly for you, which is very important.
REMINDER: YOUR STREET ADDRESS IS KEPT PRIVATE AND IS NOT SHARED WITH OTHER USERS OR ANYONE ELSE.
Your profile, photos and posts are viewable by the general public, so yes, anyone not signed up on MR can view your profile. Any images you post that are marked as 18+ are only viewable by members of MR.
18 or older.
You will get more participation and engagement from other MR members with details, credits, tags and captions added to your images. But whether it’s a professional or non-professional photo that you’re uploading you make the decision if you’d like to include a caption and details with your image.
Yes. Via desktop you’ll see the ‘BLOCK’ button towards the right side of a user’s profile. Click that to block someone. Currently we do not have the block feature on the mobile version but do expect to add it in the coming months.
‘Casting call’ or ‘casting’ is a pre-shoot/production process for selecting a cast of models/talent/creatives for a specific photoshoot or video production job/assignment. Models/talent may go through several casting calls before receiving the job/part. Casting calls may be accomplished in-person or talent may be chosen online purely based off of their specific modeling background/experience, look and strength of portfolio.
MR talent (not fans) may create casting calls or respond to casting calls via the 'CASTING' area of the site. If creating a casting call please be as specific and detailed as possible, which benefits those who might want to respond, translating to a more effective casting for everyone.
Go to ‘FIND TALENT’ and enter in your search criteria based on what you’re looking for. Keep in mind we are still very new so there are not a ton of users in various markets/cities just yet.
Message the MR Profile directly or email us at email@example.com and be sure to include the URL of the profile with the image in question. Of course if you know the person you might just message them direct and give them a heads up that they forgot to mark their image as 18+.
If you’re saying that a MR member is posting images as their own when they did not in fact take those images (and had no contribution to the image) then this is something that is against our rules. Keep in mind we expect some talent will upload images of other talent/artists that they admire or seek to emulate, and this is totally fine and normal. But if a user is trying to pass images off as their own when they did not in fact create/shoot those images then that is huge no-no and that user risks being banished from MR forever. Message our MR Profile or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org with the profile link and a copy of the image in question and we’ll take it from there. It will help immensely if you know who the model or photographer who are supposed to be credited for the image(s) in question are.
Message the MR Profile directly or email us at email@example.com whether your issue is technical or non-technical. If a technical issue please let us know all the steps you took that gave you the issue (Ex: error page) you’re experiencing. Also, please provide a screenshot of the error message or page you’re on with the issue if possible.
No one likes a quitter!! Goodness. Jk! Go to: Edit Profile & Settings > Cancel Model Revolt Account
At this time we do not. We hope to have those mobile apps available around May/June 2015.
We do not support uploading and posting of videos throughout most of the site at the moment. You can post YouTube videos to the forum areas as well as links to videos within the site.
Shut up. But, yes. Yes, it just might be.
